The Former Trinity United Church, built in 1904 in Chatham-Kent, Ontario, exemplifies the Richardsonian Romanesque style that was popular in North America during the early twentieth century. The architectural mode, named after the influential American architect H. H. Richardson, is characterized by massive stone construction, rounded arches, and sturdy, fortress-like proportions—features that would have given the church a commanding presence in its community. The building now stands as a historical landmark reflecting the religious and architectural heritage of the region.
