Gallileo is a 136-meter, 38-storey skyscraper completed in 2003 in Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel district, designed by Novotny Mähner Assoziierte. The building's distinctive form comprises two towers—the north tower rising to the full 136 meters and a shorter south tower at 114 meters—linked by a central core running the building's entire height. Its glass facade contains 400 individual windows forming a transparent skin of approximately 22,000 square meters, while integrated lighting by American artist James Turrell illuminates the building from within at night. Named after both the scientist Galileo and the nearby Gallusanlage park, it served as corporate headquarters for Dresdner Bank from 2008 until Commerzbank's acquisition of the bank moved operations there. Ground-floor amenities include retail spaces, a bar, and the English Theatre Frankfurt. Ranking as the city's 26th tallest building, Gallileo was sold to Singapore-based CapitaLand in 2018 for €356 million.
