Temple Gemiluth Chessed, located at 706 Church Street in Port Gibson, Mississippi, is a Moorish Revival synagogue built in 1892 for the state's oldest Jewish congregation. Founded in 1870 by immigrants from German states and Alsace-Lorraine, the Reform congregation created the only building in Mississippi completed in the Moorish Revival style. The temple served its community for nearly a century before closing in 1986 as the Jewish population declined and relocated to larger urban centers.
