The Gilbrae Inn in Waltham, Massachusetts, is a historic boarding house built by the Boston Manufacturing Company between 1827 and 1854 as worker housing. Originally a two-story wood-frame structure, the building received significant alterations around 1870 when a mansard roof and third floor were added, giving it Second Empire characteristics. Named after a cloth pattern produced by the manufacturing company, it stands as the only known surviving boarding house constructed by the firm. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
