Goodnestone Park is a Palladian stately home and gardens built in 1704 by Brook Bridges, 1st Baronet, located near Dover in Kent, some seven miles from Canterbury. The house and its fifteen-acre grounds, both Grade II* listed, are distinguished by refined Palladian architecture and gardens considered among the finest in southeastern England. The estate gained literary distinction through its connection to Jane Austen, who visited regularly after her brother married Elizabeth Bridges, daughter of the original builder's grandson. Once the seat of the Bridges Baronets, Goodnestone Park is now owned by their heirs, the Barons FitzWalter.
