Located in Paris's 5th arrondissement, the Grand Mosque of Paris is one of France's largest mosques and the oldest in metropolitan France. Completed in 1926 and designed by architect Maurice Tranchant de Lunel, the building exemplifies Moorish architectural style. Beyond its prayer rooms, the complex includes an outdoor garden, library, gift shop, café, and restaurant, serving as an important cultural and religious hub that promotes the visibility of Islam and Muslims in France. Now recognized as a monument historique and part of France's twentieth-century architectural heritage, it remains a significant landmark of Parisian religious diversity.
