Greenbelt station is a brutalist surface metro station completed in 1993 in Prince George's County, Maryland, serving as the northeastern terminus of both the Washington Metro's Green and Yellow Lines. Located near the Capital Beltway in the city of Greenbelt at its northwestern border, the station also accommodates MARC commuter rail trains on the Camden Line using parallel tracks. Its expansive parking lot of more than 3,300 spaces makes it a crucial hub for commuters arriving from Baltimore and elsewhere via I-95, while its proximity to NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center—accessible via TheBus route P2X—adds to its regional significance. The station's construction contributed to the creation of nearby Lake Artemesia, and it sits close to the Greenbelt Rail Yard, the largest storage facility in the Metrorail network.
