Gripenberg Castle, a wooden manor house near Tranås in Småland, Sweden, was designed by Nicodemus Tessin the Elder and built in 1660. Constructed entirely of wood in the Baroque style, it stands as Sweden's largest wooden castle and ranks among the nation's oldest surviving examples of the form. Now designated as an individual listed building complex, Gripenberg represents a significant architectural ensemble from the early modern period.
