Harewood House, a Palladian country house in West Yorkshire, was designed by architects John Carr and Robert Adam for Edwin Lascelles, 1st Baron Harewood, and built between 1759 and 1771. The landscape, spanning 1,000 acres, was laid out by Lancelot "Capability" Brown. Still occupied by the Lascelles family, the Grade I listed house functions as a historic house museum and zoo, and is a member of the Treasure Houses of England consortium. The grounds and courtyard contain numerous Grade I, II*, and II listed features.
