Henley Field in Lakeland, Florida, is a historic baseball park built in 1922 and designed in Mission Revival style. The venue was named in 1942 after Clare Henley, whose efforts to attract professional baseball training to the area led to its construction. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1997, the ballpark gained wider cultural attention when it served as a filming location for the 1987 HBO movie *Long Gone*, appearing under the fictional name Smythe Field. The facility underwent a $250,000 renovation prior to the 2002 season to accommodate the Lakeland Tigers while their primary stadium underwent its own improvements. Located adjacent to Bryant Stadium at 1125 North Florida Avenue, Henley Field had been used by Florida Southern College's baseball team for decades before the college's acquisition of the property in 2015.
