Located on the 400 block of Louisiana in downtown Houston, the Hogg Building is a Mediterranean Revival office complex completed in 1921 and originally known as the Armor Building. Developed by Will Hogg, the structure initially housed a car showroom on its ground floor with office spaces above, while Hogg himself occupied the penthouse as both residence and office. The complex was acquired by the Pappas Company in 1954 and underwent cosmetic renovation in 1963, later passing to Randall Davis, who reopened it in 1995 as the Hogg Palace. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, it remains a notable example of revivalist architecture from the early twentieth century.
