The Hopkins House, a single-family home at 49a Downshire Hill in Hampstead, London, stands as a defining work of the High Tech movement. Designed in 1976 by architects Michael and Patty Hopkins as both residence and workspace, the building has been celebrated as a "genuine icon of the High Tech movement." Its architectural significance was recognized early: the house received a RIBA Award for Architecture in 1977 and a Civic Trust Award in 1979. Today the structure is Grade II* listed.
