The Ildefonso group is a sculptural replica of an ancient Roman work, created in 1828 for the Klein-Glienicke Palace Park in Berlin-Wannsee by architects Friedrich Ludwig Persius and Karl Friedrich Schinkel. Constructed from clinker brick, granite, bronze, sandstone, and zinc, the fountain and artwork exemplifies the Romantic era's fascination with classical antiquity and its integration into the landscape design of Prussian estates.
