Imamzadeh Ahmad in Kashan, Iran, is a Safavid-era mausoleum and tower dedicated to a religious dignitary, notable for its architectural synthesis of tile work and brick construction. The structure features a distinctive conical dome, expansive porticoes, and a spacious courtyard anchored by a large iwan, all characteristic of Persian shrine architecture. Its elaborate tiling—including aina-kari (mirror work)—was substantially repaired and rebuilt during the Qajar period, when the two minarets were also reconstructed. Now recognized as part of Iran's National Heritage, the building exemplifies the layered architectural history of Safavid and Qajar design traditions.
