Completed in July 2014 in Incheon, South Korea, the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium was designed by Populous as the primary venue for the 2014 Asian Games and Asian Para Games. Originally built with a capacity of roughly 60,000 spectators, it was reduced to 30,000 after the Games concluded. The stadium features an oval running track enclosing a regulation soccer field, with additional facilities including a tennis court, subsidiary stadium, and cricket ground. The design employs sweeping lines and soft curvatures intended to evoke the movements of Seungmu, a traditional Buddhist dance, while expressing dynamic motion inspired by Incheon's sea, tide, and wind. The building's linear landscape and continuous roofline integrate the structure with surrounding parks and facilitate spectator movement. The stadium hosted the opening and closing ceremonies and athletics competitions of both the 2014 Asian Games and Asian Para Games.
