Located at 3400 International Drive in Washington, D.C.'s North Cleveland Park neighborhood near Van Ness metro station, the Intelsat Headquarters is a striking example of high-tech modernist architecture designed by Australian architect John Andrews. Built in two phases beginning in 1984 and completed in 1988 as the U.S. headquarters for the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization, the 83-meter office complex is renowned for its futuristic design. The building was designated a landmark in the DC Inventory of Historic Sites in April 2019, recognizing its architectural significance. It later housed the D.C. location of Whittle School & Studios from 2019 to 2022.
