The Jennie Foley Building, located at 626–628 South Racine Avenue in Chicago, is a four-story brick commercial and residential structure built in 1889 in the Chicago School style. Its ground floor contains retail storefronts while six apartments occupy the upper stories. The east facade is distinguished by hexagonal bay windows, a decoratively scrolled and dentiled metal cornice, and belt courses marking the divisions between floors. Constructed during the era of hybrid commercial-residential buildings that characterized Chicago's early twentieth-century Sicilian community, the Jennie Foley Building survives as one of few such structures remaining in the neighborhood; most of its counterparts have been demolished. The building acquired the name of Victor A. Arrigo after his parents purchased it in 1910, and Arrigo, who became a prominent Chicago lawyer and politician, resided there until his death in 1973. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
