The Jing Guang Centre is a 208-meter skyscraper completed in 1989 in Beijing's Hujialou Subdistrict, designed by Japanese firm Nihon Sekkei. An abbreviation for "Beijing-Guangzhou Centre," it held the distinction of being China's tallest building from its completion until 1996, and remained Beijing's highest structure until 2006. The tower integrates hotel, office, and condominium spaces within its main structure, complemented by an additional office building on its northern side.
