The John Calvin Stevens House, built in 1884 at 52 Bowdoin Street in Portland, Maine's West End neighborhood, stands as one of the city's earliest examples of Shingle style architecture. Designed by and serving as the home of architect John Calvin Stevens himself, the house became a showcase for the style, which Stevens actively promoted through the building. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
