The John D. Clifford House, a single-family residence in Lewiston, Maine, was built in 1926 by architect Addison G. Pulsifer. Though the fact sheet identifies it as Prairie School architecture, the Wikipedia entry describes it as Mediterranean Revival with an eclectic stylistic mix—a rare example of the latter in Maine and notably the only known Mediterranean Revival house in the state designed as a year-round residence. The home features a built-in garage, an uncommon amenity for its era. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, it stands as a distinctive architectural document of 1920s residential design in New England.
