Built around 1914 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the John H. and Mary Abercrombie House is a two-story Tudor Revival brick and half-timber dwelling that exemplifies early twentieth-century residential design. The structure combines Tudor Revival aesthetics with American Craftsman details, including wide gabled porches, exposed rafter ends, and a porte cochere. Originally constructed for Nettie and John Adams, the home was purchased by Mary and John Abercrombie around 1915. John, the son of Scottish immigrants and a locomotive engineer for the Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad, and Mary, a former elementary school teacher from Pennsylvania, lived there until selling the property to the Citizens Trust Company in 1924. The house was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.
