Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) is a massive waterfront residential development stretching 1.7 kilometres along the Persian Gulf coast in Dubai Marina, comprising 40 towers—35 residential and 5 hotels—with a gross floor area of 2 square kilometres. Developed by Dubai Properties (a Dubai Holding subsidiary) and launched in August 2002, the 6-billion-dirham project was completed in 2010. The complex accommodates approximately 15,000 residents across 6,917 apartments ranging from 900-square-foot studios to 5,500-square-foot penthouses, organised into six residential blocks named Shams, Amwaj, Rimal, Bahar, Sadaf, and Murjan from west to east. Located within walking distance of Dubai Marina, the Dubai Tram, and Dubai Metro, JBR functions as a self-contained urban community on the Arabian coast.
