Kanak Bhawan (the "Golden Palace") is a Hindu temple located in Ram Janmabhoomi in the northeast of Ramkot, Ayodhya district. According to tradition, it was gifted by Kaikeyi immediately after the marriage of Rama and Sita and served as their personal residence. Mythology holds that after the original structure was damaged, Krishna rebuilt it during the Dvapar Yuga, and the temple was subsequently renovated by Vikramaditya in the medieval period. The structure visible today was restored by Queen Vrishabhanu Kunwari. The sanctum sanctorum houses the principal idols of Rama and Sita, making it one of Ayodhya's most celebrated temples.
