The Kanthaswamy Temple in Cheyyur, located in Chengalpattu district of Tamil Nadu, is a tenth-century Hindu shrine dedicated to Murugan, worshipped here as Kanthaswamy alongside his consorts Valli and Deivasena. Built during the Chola period in the ancient Tamil Dravidian architectural style, the temple features a protective granite wall enclosing its shrines. The sanctuary remains active with four daily rituals and several prominent yearly festivals, including Vaikasi Visagam, Kanthasasti, Soorasamharam, Thaipoosam, and Panguni Uthiram, drawing devotees throughout the year. Administered by the Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of Tamil Nadu, the temple is open to visitors during prescribed morning and evening hours.
