The Kasi Viswanathar Temple in Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu, is a Dravidian-style Hindu shrine dedicated to Shiva, worshipped here as Kasi Viswanathar alongside his consort Parvathi, known as Ulagamman. Built in the 13th century by Pandyan ruler Parakrama Pandyan, the temple received later additions from the Madurai Nayaks. Enclosed within a granite wall, the temple complex houses multiple shrines and is administered by the Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of Tamil Nadu. The temple observes four daily rituals and celebrates three yearly festivals, with the Maasi Maham festival—held during the Tamil month of Maasi (February–March)—being the most prominent religious observance.
