The Kaufmann Desert House is a modernist residence in Palm Springs, California, designed by architect Richard Neutra and completed in 1946. Commissioned by businessman Edgar J. Kaufmann, Sr.—the same patron who engaged Frank Lloyd Wright for Fallingwater—the house has been recognized as an architectural marvel that helped establish the modernist aesthetic characteristic of the desert resort city.
