The Keith Building is a 21-story, 272-foot Beaux-Arts skyscraper completed in 1922 in downtown Cleveland's Playhouse Square theater district, designed by the architectural firm Rapp and Rapp. Originally housing the Palace Theater, a flagship venue of the Keith vaudeville circuit, the building briefly held the distinction of Cleveland's tallest structure before being surpassed in 1924 by the 925 Building. From the 1920s through the mid-1950s, it was crowned with what was claimed to be the world's largest electric sign at the time of construction. Today it functions as an office tower following renovation, remaining Ohio's tallest performing arts-related building.
