Located on Kong Christians Allé in Aalborg, Denmark, the Kunsten Museum of Modern Art is a modernist structure completed in 1972 by Finnish architects Alvar and Elissa Aalto in collaboration with Danish architect Jean-Jacques Baruël. Built between 1968 and 1972, the museum exemplifies Scandinavian modern design and functions as a showcay for twentieth-century Danish and international art collections. Described as "strikingly contemporary in both form and content," it has become a significant venue for modern and contemporary works and is registered as a monument on the Danish Cultural Heritage Register.
