Located on Musikkens Plads beside the Limfjord in Aalborg's cultural center, the House of Music is a deconstructivist concert hall designed by Coop Himmelb(l)au and completed in 2014. The building serves as home to the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra and The Royal Academy of Music, while also hosting Orchestra Norden and accommodating Aalborg University's Institute of Music and Danish JazzCenter. Its educational spaces are arranged in a U-shaped configuration surrounding a central concert hall, and the structure incorporates solar-passive design principles while presenting a striking riverfront presence characteristic of the architects' geometric formal language.
