Designed by French architect Jean Nouvel and completed in 2009, DR Koncerthuset is a concert hall located in Copenhagen's Ørestad development district, forming part of the DR Byen complex that houses the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. Construction began in February 2003 and took just under six years, with the official opening celebrated on January 17, 2009. The concert complex comprises four halls, anchored by a main auditorium seating 1,800 people, and serves as the home venue of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra.
