Built in 1947 at 1300 S. Virginia Street in Reno, Nevada, Landrum's Hamburger System No. 1 is a compact Moderne-style restaurant occupying just 400 square feet. Originally designed as part of the Landrum's hamburger chain, the structure has since housed other food establishments, including Chili Cheez Cafe and later Beefy's Burgers. Its streamlined aesthetic exemplifies mid-twentieth-century commercial architecture in Nevada. The building was recognized for its historical significance when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
