Located at 1757 Northeast 2nd Avenue in Miami, the S & S Sandwich Shop is a small-scale Art Deco restaurant constructed in 1938. The building's striking facade features pigmented structural glass and aluminum arranged in horizontal and vertical bands of beige, white, and red, exemplifying the geometric aesthetic of its era. Added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 4, 1989, the structure represents an important example of mid-twentieth-century commercial architecture in Miami. The restaurant was evicted from the building in 2017, after which the establishment relocated to a nearby location.
