The Lincoln Club, a historic clubhouse in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, was built between 1886 and 1889 by architect Rudolph Daus as a 4½-story Queen Anne style masonry structure. Constructed of Roman brick and rock-faced Lake Superior brownstone accented with smooth brownstone bands and terra cotta ornament, the building features a sunken basement and a distinctive front facade with four arches on the first floor and a prominent 2-story oriel window. Also known as Mechanics Temple, it served the Independent Order of Mechanics of the Western Hemisphere and was designated a New York City Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
