The Lindsey Building is a twelve-story commercial structure in downtown Dayton, Ohio, built in 1917 for Theodore Lindsey during a period of sustained prosperity and growth in the city. Constructed of brick on a stone foundation, the building exemplifies Chicago School architecture with Neoclassical touches, particularly evident in its three-part facade and ornamental details. The ground floor has been modernized with retail shops, while the recessed main entrance sits to one side of this commercial space. Historically a venue for financial institutions such as the Miami Savings and Loan Company and the Mutual Home and Savings Association, the building was later converted into apartments as part of a broader revitalization of the Dayton Arcade district. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, it was recognized both for its architectural significance and as a leading example of downtown Dayton's early-twentieth-century expansion.
