Luisium is a Classicist palace in Dessau-Roßlau, Germany, designed by Friedrich Wilhelm von Erdmannsdorff and begun in 1774. Built by Leopold III, Duke of Anhalt-Dessau, as a residence for his wife Margravine Louise of Brandenburg-Schwedt—giving the palace its name—Luisium was conceived in the style of an English country house. The palace forms part of the Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Realm, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and stands as an architectural heritage monument.
