Malbis Memorial Church, formally the Sacred Patriarchal and Stavropegial Monastery of the Presentation of Theotokos, is a Byzantine Revival Greek Orthodox church located in Malbis, Baldwin County, Alabama. One of only roughly six Greek Orthodox churches in the state, it stands under the direct authority of the Patriarchate of Constantinople rather than the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. Dedicated on January 3, 1965, with an opening service conducted by Archbishop Iakovos of America, the church is distinguished by its intricate mosaics and paintings. Though it has never maintained an active congregation, it continues to host religious observances, special services, and events including weddings. The church was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage in 1977, and the Malbis Plantation Historic District, which encompasses the church, was designated by the Alabama Historical Commission in 2008.
