Manzanares Linear Park is a 650-hectare park along the Manzanares River in southern Madrid, Spain, designed by architects Jean-Pierre Carniaux and Ricardo Bofill. Stretching 15 kilometres between Casa de Campo and Getafe, the park was initiated in 1998 with its first section inaugurated on April 29, 2003. Completed areas feature distinctive elements including the Green Square, a wooden amphitheatre; the Alley of Senses, planted with Mediterranean species such as palms, oaks, and olives; the Watchtower, a pyramid structure crowned by a 13-metre sculpture of a woman's head by Manolo Valdés; and recreational facilities comprising sports fields and a six-metre-wide loop pathway. The park remains partially under construction.
