The Mecidiyeköy Liquor Factory, constructed in 1931 in the Şişli district of Istanbul, was an Art Deco industrial structure that produced spirits during the early Republican era. Built at a time when Turkey was modernizing its infrastructure under Atatürk's reforms, the factory embodied the streamlined aesthetic and geometric forms characteristic of Art Deco architecture. The building stood for over eight decades before its demolition in 2012, by which point it had become a casualty of urban development pressures in rapidly changing Istanbul.
