Metropole XXI is the oldest surviving movie theater in Jakarta, Indonesia, housed within a historic Art Deco multipurpose building complex. Originally a pioneering cinema venue, it screened films during the first Indonesian Film Festival in 1955 and the 16th Asia Pacific Film Festival in 1970. Today, the 21 Cineplex group operates the Metropole XXI cinema in the complex's main building, which also contains a Starbucks coffeehouse, a bakery, and an upscale Indonesian restaurant on the second floor. The complex was designated an architectural heritage site by the governor in 1993.
