Demolished or destroyed.
Built in Russian Revival style, this twelve-meter monument stood on Cathedral Square in Harbin opposite St. Nicholas Cathedral from its dedication on June 8, 1941, until its demolition in 1945. Erected during the Japanese occupation of Manchukuo, it commemorated White Russian émigrés who had died fighting the Comintern and was unique as the only monument of its kind in the world. After the Soviet victory in 1945, it was demolished and replaced with a monument to Soviet soldiers.
