The Mount Pleasant Carnegie Library stands at 24 East Main Street in Mount Pleasant, Utah, built in 1917 by local contractors Bent R. Hansen, August Larsen, and John Stansfield. Designed by Ware & Treganza in the Prairie School style, it holds a unique distinction as the only Carnegie library without a centered front door; instead, following Prairie School principles, its entrance approaches indirectly through the sides of a projecting bay. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, the building represents an unconventional interpretation of the Carnegie library type within the modernist design vocabulary of its era.
