The Mulantou Lighthouse, also known as Hainan Head Light, stands 72 meters tall on a sharp promontory at the northeastern tip of Hainan province in China, marking the south side of the entrance to Qiongzhou Strait. Built in 1995 from concrete, this active lighthouse is the tallest in China and the fifth-tallest in the world. Its cylindrical structure rises from a two-story circular base and features a large circular observation room, painted white with red trim.
