The Museo de la Arquitectura Ponceña, established in 1996 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, preserves the architectural heritage of the city and the island through its location in the Casa Wiechers-Villaronga, a striking Art Nouveau residence designed and built in 1912 by Alfredo B. Wiechers. Situated within Ponce's Historic Zone, the house itself exemplifies the very architectural traditions the museum documents. The structure was acquired and restored by the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, transforming the historic dwelling into a repository for understanding Ponce's evolving architectural styles and their broader significance in Puerto Rican cultural history.
