Parque da Cidade Dom Nivaldo Monte, commonly called Parque da Cidade, is a 64-hectare urban park in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, designed by Oscar Niemeyer and completed in 2008. Built across the city's distinctive dune landscape, it serves dual purposes of environmental preservation and public recreation, featuring eco-trails, jogging lanes, a library, auditorium, and orchidarium. The park's iconic 45-meter central tower houses the Memorial of Natal, chronicling the city's history and development. As the second-largest park in Natal, it functions alongside Parque das Dunas as a critical ecological filter, capturing and purifying rainwater, moderating temperature, and sheltering local flora and fauna while expanding the city's green infrastructure.
