The O.F. and Lulu E. Fryer House is a Prairie School residence built in 1920 in Fairfield, Iowa, for banker Ode Franklin Fryer and his wife Lulu. Designed by local freelance architect Guy A. Carpenter, the two-story brick structure exemplifies the Prairie School idiom with its characteristic wide eaves, flat roof, and horizontal lines. The home features a full-width porch, single-story solarium, and porte cochere, while the rectangular massing and brick construction reinforce the style's emphasis on organic integration with the landscape. The listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999 encompasses both the house and its detached garage.
