The Odeon of Lyon is a small ancient Roman theatre perched near the summit of Fourvière hill in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon. Constructed in the Roman architectural tradition, it forms one of only two paired odeon-theatre complexes surviving in Gaul, the other located in Vienne. Together with the nearby Ancient Theatre of Fourvière, this monument testifies to Lyon's significance as a major Roman city. Classified as a historical monument, the odeon was inscribed as part of Lyon's architectural heritage on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998, recognizing the city's enduring cultural and urban importance.
