The Old Synagogue in Aachen was a Moorish Revival structure designed by local architect Wilhelm Wickop and constructed between 1860 and 1862. Located on Promenaden-Platz—renamed Synagogenplatz in 1984—the building served the city's Jewish community until its destruction in 1938 during Kristallnacht, when it was razed along with numerous other Jewish houses of worship across Germany.
