One Prudential Plaza is a 41-story modernist skyscraper in Chicago completed in 1955 as the headquarters for Prudential's Mid-America operations. Standing 183 meters tall, it marked a significant moment in the city's architectural recovery, being the first skyscraper constructed in Chicago since the Great Depression and Second World War. The plaza later expanded with a second building erected in 1990 and has been owned by BentleyForbes and a consortium of New York investors since the early 21st century.
