Two Prudential Plaza, a 64-story skyscraper in Chicago's Loop, rises 995 feet (303 meters) to become the city's seventh-tallest building as of 2022. Completed in 1990 and designed by Loebl Schlossman & Hackl with Stephen T. Wright as principal designer, the tower stands tantalizingly close to the 1,000-foot mark—a distinction it holds among all buildings under that threshold. The structure has earned eight awards, notably winning the Best Structure Award from the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois in 1995, reflecting its engineering achievement and architectural significance.
