The Oxford County Court House in Woodstock, Ontario, completed in 1894, is a striking example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture constructed of red sandstone. Built during a period of robust civic expansion, the courthouse reflects the architectural vocabulary of the era with its characteristic rounded arches, sturdy masonry, and imposing presence. Designated a heritage property under Part IV protection, the building remains an important landmark of municipal heritage in southwestern Ontario, embodying both the legal authority and architectural ambitions of late nineteenth-century Canada.
